The Story The medal trio awarded to R G Baxter were acquired from E-Bay on 10th August 2020 and of interest because of the Efficiency Medal and two clasped General Service Medal combination. Despite a trawl of Ancestry.UK the only specific detail that could be found was confirmation of the award of the GSM with Palestine 1945-48 clasp. Forces War Records also confirmed the award dates of the Efficiency Medal and clasp. There was one possible link on Ancestry, Robert G Baxter born in Lewisham 1926. However, it has not been possible to prove beyond reasonable doubt that is the same man.
