The Story The three medals awarded to David Eric Dunn were acquired from E-Bay on 6th December 2009, and of interest because of the Imperial Service / Efficiency medal combination, plus the inclusion of the fully named Buffalo Medals.
Sadly, little detail was uncovered on Ancestry.UK, and extensive searching details of his Imperial Service Medal were not located in the London Gazette.
The named Buffalo medals help make this an interesting group despite the lack of detail and demonstrate another life-long interest outside of the Armed Forces and work.
UPDATE:
Following a further search on Ancestry.UK in 2023, using Narberth (the Lodge engraved on the RAOB medals as a reference), further detail was found including a date of death enabling his will to be ordered. Forces War Records and OMRS also provided the relevant Army Orders for his Efficiency Medal.
After 14 years it is satisfying to be able to add a little more personal details to David’s biography. Oddly, still no record can be found in the London Gazette for his ISM award.

This group of medals is one I have only been able to find a minimal amount of detail on. They are in effect 'work in progress' as one day something additional may well be uncovered. Please feel free to contact me should you know of, or have any information on this man.
