Marine Stuart Macpherson Royal Marines & Police
Campaign Service Medal 'Northern Ireland'. South Atlantic Medal. United Nations Medal 'Cyprus'.
Golden Jubilee Medal 2002. Police Long Service & Good Conduct Medal
The Man Stuart Macpherson served as a Royal Marine service number PO37755L. He saw action in Northern Ireland and in the South Atlantic Campaign to re-take the Falkland Islands. He later joined the Police Service and completed 22 years service.
The Story The group of medals awarded to Stuart Macpherson were acquired from the Warwick Antique Centre on 26th March 2011. They were of interest as a South Atlantic Medal had always been desired, coupled with another named campaign medal and the Police Exemplary Service Medal. Sadly little detail has been uncovered on Stuart, and it is highly likely he is still alive and living in the Warwickshire area.
This group of medals is one I have not been able to find any detail on. They are in effect 'work in progress' as one day something additional may well be uncovered. Please feel free to contact me should you know of, or have any information on this man.
