Steven McVitie  -  Ambulance Service

PictureSteven McVITIE
The Man   The only details known about Steven McVitie are that he served in Tees and North Yorkshire  Ambulance Service, Bramhall Lane, Sheffield.  He retired in 2011 as Private Events Manager, having served at last 20 years, seven of which were on emergency duties in a clinical grade.

The Story   The medal group awarded to Steven McVitie were acquired from E-Bay in April 2021 and of interest because of the slightly scarcer Ambulance Service Long Service and Good Medal, not often seen.  It was also good to have another medal, the Golden Jubilee 2002 in the group.

There were a number of possible matches on Ancestry.UK and so no detail was obtained, however on googling 'Steven McVitie Ambulance Service' the only matches were a picture of him at his retirement and mention of him as Private Events Manager at Tees and North Yorkshire Ambulance Service.  Not a 100% guarantee this is the same man, but on the balance of probabilities likely.
