The Story The medal group awarded to Frederick Leslie Brown were acquired from the Dix Noonan Web auction on 23rd February 2022 (whilst in a bar in Thailand at about 1830h!).
They were of interest because of the Efficiency Medal (Territorial) and (Army Emergency Reserve) combination, sitting comfortably within two themes in this collection.
Surprisingly, assuming Frederick had enlisted into the TA before the outbreak of World War II, aged 18, there was a direct hit on Ancestry.UK which together with the extraction of his will enabled a brief biography to be completed.
Whilst not beyond all doubt, on the balance of probabilities this the right man.
