Gunner G J Lucas  Royal Artillery

Picture

General Service Medal 'Palestine 1945-48'.

The Man   Gunner G J Lucas served in Palestine after World War II in the Royal Artillery,  service number 14475914.  The medal roll for the General Service Medal with clasp 'Palestine 1945-48' was located on ancestry.com and revealed that Lucas had served in the 6th Field Regiment RA.  It is unknown if he served during World War II and no additional detail is known.

This medal is one I have not been able to find any detail on.  It is in effect 'work in progress' as one day something additional may well be uncovered.  Please feel free to contact me should you know of, or have any information on this man.

The Story   The General Service Medal awarded to G J Lucas was given to me by my Brother when he wound up his medal collection some years ago. It was only much later that the GSM Medal Roll was located on Ancestry.UK, but apart from that no other details has been found.
