Private Edward Joseph Reynolds   Army Service Corps

Picture
1914-18 British War Medal. Victory Medal.
The Man   Edward Joseph Reynolds enlisted into the Army Service Corps on 7th June 1916 with service number M2/195637.  He contacted a sickness during the war and was subsequently discharged on 5th March 1919.  He was awarded the Silver War Badge number 514108.

This group of medals is one I have only been able to find a minimal amount of detail on.  They are in effect 'work in progress' as one day something additional may well be uncovered.  Please feel free to contact me should you know of, or have any information on this man.

The Story   The World War I pair and Silver Wound Badge awarded to Edward Joseph Reynolds were bought from John Scott of the Birmingham Medal Society at a convention on 20th May 2006.  They came with his Army Service Corps collar dogs, badges, fibre ID tags, wrist badge and a small felt cat.  The medal index card revealed Edward’s first names, but little other information could be found due to the high number of people on ancestry.UK with same name.
