The Story The medal pair awarded to Cyril Maurice Warn were acquired from a dealer in May 2013 and of interest because of the Cadet Forces and double clasped General Service Medal. Sadly no additional information was forthcoming from Ancestry.UK at the time, but following a review during the 2020 ‘lockdown’ and an approximate birth date of 1942 +/- 10 years (20 years before the Borneo campaign) adding, there was only one match, allowing Cyril’s brief biography to be produced.
Interestingly it seems the medals were acquired one year before his death!
